This photo shows the entry of the 1999 Street Of Dreams exhibition house in Portland, Oregon. The house was designed in a Contemporary Mediterranean style.
Artwork consists of layered drywall, carved panels and sand-finish plaster castings.

"Raindrops”  This house was included in the 1999 Portland, Oregon Street Of Dreams, and the proceeds from the sale of the house were donated to the Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The Street Of Dreams, which is open to the public for one month during the summer, showcases 8 to 10 custom homes built by local builders. The house we built, “Visa Sienna”, was designed as a Contemporary version of the Mediterranean style. Layered artwork flows throughout the entry and stairwell, and includes carved panels and sand-finish plaster castings. Carved panels were also incorporated in the stairway railing.

The artwork theme was extended to the stucco detailing in the form of a mural on an exterior wall of the house.

Just prior to opening day, the interior designer cautioned me about using “Raindrops” as the title, since no one in Portland needs to be reminded of the rain!

Artwork extends onto the upper walls of the entry stairwell.
A small mural was created in stucco on an exterior wall of the house.
